Site Navigation?


  • The browser forward and back buttons will work correctly on this website.
  • The top navigation bar will always be visible on all pages. On small screen sizes (mobile) it will appear as three horizontal bars - just click the button to expand.
  • The back button will not be available for documents opened in a new tab.
  • A blue circle with an white up arrow will appear any time you scroll down a page, click on the blue up button to return to the top of the page.

Mobile Device Access?


  • The entire website has been designed to work well on mobile devices (cell phones and tablets).
  • Most pages will auto adjust to fit your screen size so horizontal scrolling will not be required. For a few large tables you may have to rotate your device into landscape mode or use the horizontal scroll bar.
  • The site will respond much better if you have the Desktop site box unchecked.

Archives and Accessibility?


  • Site contents have been updated to adhere to latest federal ADA guidelines as of April 2026.
  • Please note that documents in sections of the site or individual pages noted "archive" may vary in accessibility based on publication date.
  • In addition to satisfying requirements of mandates, BCPL staff strive to exceed those standards and respond to concerns about accessibility.
  • To report any related issues, ask questions, or make suggestions, please contact appropriate BCPL staff.

How do links work?


  • Links are shown in blue, bold text.
  • Links that open pdf, Word and Excel documents will appear in a separate tab.
  • Some links will give you an option to download.
  • Links that go to an external site will always open in a new tab.
  • Board meeting recording links will open in your default media player (most media players will allow you to jump to any point in the recording).

Return to the Home Page?


  • Click on the BCPL logo on the top of any web page
  • Scroll to the bottom of any web page and click on the bcpl.wisconsin.gov link in the lower right corner of the footer

Searching?


  • Fill in your search term or terms and hit the enter key to search the entire website.
  • Searching will find all web pages and documents containing the search term(s).
  • The search term or terms are not case sensitive.
  • Hovering over the found items will display a thumbnail of the actual page or document.

Image Links?


  • If an image fades when you hover over it then it is a link. C​licking on the image will bring up a new page, document of images. 
  • Hovering over a image that fades will display a tip letting you know what will happen if you click on the image.
